Our space now also features a specialist drum and percussion facility with the biggest selection of instruments available to record in the North West.

Studio Two
The Lea Mullen Collection
We're incredibly blessed to have collaborated on a range of sessions with highly sought after performer, drum-clinician and teacher, Lea Mullen.
Studio two houses a selection of instruments collected over a 40 year stretch by Lea personally. His multitude of hand and stick drums, hand percussion and a panoply of instruments collected from all around the world include some of the industries most recorded and most desired names. Also some one of a kind hand-made instruments, memorabilia and rare collections dating back to the 1920s, all serviced, maintained and tuned to meet today’s recording standards.
Throughout his sparkilng career, Lea has toured, recorded and played with bands such as Happy Mondays, Buffalo66, Ian Brown, Hed Kandi, Bond, Vanessa Mae, Urrban Superstars, The Jacksons, Craig Armstrong, Geoff Foster, Paul Heaton, D:REAM, Imagination, Kenny Thomas, A Certain Ratio, Jooks Sister Sledge, De-Tronic, Massive Attack and the legendary George Michael.
isolation booth
Exposed brick, pipes & a sloping celing.
Our isolation booth is the perfect reflective space to record solo performances with a little natural ambience. It's subtly controlled with the carpeted floor and strategically placed diffusers perfect for snare experimentation, vocal performances and instrumental solos.
The space is linked up to both of the control rooms in Studio 1 and Studio 2 via ultranet, as well as a live video feed perform alongside musicians in either space.
It also doubles as a green room with a dressing table, comfy chair and mirror to tidy up your make-up ahead of a video shoot!
Mixing suite
No distractions, just great sound.
The mixing suite is heavily insulated with thick 10mm foam from floor to ceiling. It's carpeted with diffusers and soft furnishings to create a cosy, dry space to listen back to mixes, master finished projects, and escape to listen to your favourite tracks for inspiration.
The space is dim with ambient warm lighting to help stimulation and focus, and there's a host of professional speaker setups to choose from.

The Studio is beautifully equipped!
The studio is beautifully equipped with unique and interesting instruments. I loved his guitar collection and particularly his pianos. To top it off, the final performance was perfectly edited, mixed and mastered promptly.

The studio looked great on the video, and Shaun really knew what he was doing.It was great to have a fellow musician behind the desk. The outside of the building was also a great back drop for band photos!

the surroundings
Natural, grungy and beautiful.
We’re located inside a large business park surrounded by traditional Art Deco style character buildings, rugged metal staircases, grungy concrete structures and big metal shipping containers.
On first look it can seem messy and unkept, but it’s beauty is undeniable. There’s so many hidden spots for some cool footage or alternative shots.
